I was happy to be seated at 10:45am on a Father's Day with absolutely no wait at all! Breakfast ends at 11am and I knew anywhere else would be completely packed around this time!
I resisted having the $19 Full breakfast buffet by having these:
Whimsical Waffle - $14
Whole wheat Belgian waffle with blueberry Grand Marnier compote, maple syrup, fresh strawberries and candied walnuts.
The presentation of this entree was impressive...and whimsical! The waffles were warm and crispy! Everything that came with is was delscious...I didnt even use maple syrup for this! The blueberry compote, the fresh strawberries...OH and the candied walnuts just fitted perfectly! AAAH!!! SO glad I got waffles...
Fried Egg Sandwich - $14
Two fried eggs on multi grain bread with bacon, Tillamook sharp cheddar cheese, arugula, and ancho chili aioli, accompanied by market fresh fruit.
You can never go wrong with breakfast sammies...this was definielty a tasty and yummy one. I tad bland...but dash a little salt in there and its great. What different from other fried egg sammies I've had is the yolk is hard...so there was no runny yolk that would drip down my fingers after every bite I took! :P
I felt this place was kind of pricey. Then again, with great service, and nice atmosphere AND no wait on a Father's Day, I thought it was worth it, on top of REALLY good quality food.
Here's a tip though:
If you try calling the restaurant NOT during dinner hours it will only take you to their voice mail. The only reason I knew that breakfast even existed, and that it ends at 11am, and opens again at 11:30am for lunch was calling the hotel's guest services (Sheraton). I even had the option of making reservations too.
My belly and I, oh and boyfriend too, were very pleased eating here :) -

On a vacation and this place was the easiest option for breakfast considering we are staying in the Sheraton for SacAnime. Huge mistake. The 7-11 across the street would've been a better option with better service.
I had all four kids with me. We walked up the stairs and the hostess station was empty. It only looked to be about 70% full. Five minutes later a hostess made her appearance but told us we'd have to wait for a table despite many being open. When we sat down the menu prices were ridiculous. Mostly $10 and up for alacarte items. The breakfast buffet was $22. Since we attending the convention, we were supposed to get a 15% discount (note the "supposed").
I decided to bite the bullet and just got the buffet for everyone so we could start our day. Huge mistake. We got up to go through the buffet line and almost all the items were gone. The kids scraped together what they could. I started with a small portion of country potatoes and two pieces of sausage. It was hard to keep my fury in check looking at the plate...over $20 for this??? Occassionally a fresh tray would appear to have everyone in the place descend on it and finish it off within minutes. After pushing my way in a few times I got enough to fill my stomach but not enough to justify "meh" quality food at such a price. I also only got one drink refill the entire time. Then the check came. Remember that 15% off I was supposed to get??? They added in an 18% "service fee"!!! Needless to say I didn't leave a tip.
Normally I do a good and a bad breakdown. This one is simple. The bad...ABSOLUTELY EVERYTHING!!! Put simply the hotel should be embarrased to have this place operating front and center in their lobby area. $132 for five people drinking water for food which was diner quality at best and would've run $45 with tip at a diner. Avoid!!! -

Ate lunch here yesterday. The menu is so limited it was hard to find anything that sounded good. Noticed the person clearing tables with fingers inside the glasses was also putting fresh glasses with the same method
The fries are good...but for the prices anything in the area would be a better choice. -

As say I really should write under their bar category but yes here my version! Good all you want eat breakfast! Cold items such muffins, fruits, melons, the oat meals, yes they have that for breakfasts at Club Level area! The hot items include scrambled eggs, pan cakes, hot biscuits and gravy, variety sausages, waffles! Being hotel restaurant may be expensive, one expects that at hotel restaurant! Not sure, the four times I try, was always that one person saying to effect, "Seat her back down! I will get her I will buy her the breakfast today!" Still leave the $1.50 tip! The all you want eat automatic to come with choice coffee or the choice orange juice, they know I not liking coffee not liking sodas, so is orange juice!
Pediatric menu! Hotel does know why I using word Pediatric! I do in front them, other restaurants not! Anyway on Pediatric menu, macaroni and cheese, $6.47 with tax, has slices ham on top, mash potatoes, $5.41 with tax, grill cheese sandwich, $8.47 with tax! For the grill cheese I get fruits instead fries, usually slices pine apple, slices straw berries, cantaloupe, honey dew! All that plus the usual orange juice! Their squid on Adult menu $13.05 with tax, may gone up since last try but yes authentic! Has the head, the legs, even the tentacles, cup red sauce, cup white sauce, broccoli! They authentic, think was call Claim Jumper not! Claim Jumper just version of tough tasting onion rings, their was $15.49 with tax, ouch! To me, any more pricier than hotel restaurant, I my own not going back! I expect hotel restaurants be expensive, so I never going on my own back Claim Jumper!
This my version for Sheraton restaurant the Morgan Central Valley Bistro! Think now, who can sit at bar area, get away order from Pediatric menu? Even the bar tenders when I the TIGER ask of certain places, other guests okay, for me is equivalent "Do Not Even Think Of It, Celebrity Guest!" Yes this a good restaurant! All the servers all the bar tenders very friendly, very helpful, always high fives! With bar tender MARLIN FISH when he cheers, "Cheers up, cheers down, in a circle, in an oval, in a square, in an octagon!" -

Selected this restaurant after searching on Yelp...showed open at 530pm...much to my surprise when I arrived - Morgan's is now only open for breakfast and you have to eat at the Public Market Bar (PMB).
